Ergonomics In The Classroom

Sitting down all day can do a real number on our bodies. Most students are in the seated position for a good part of the day, from listening to lectures and studying after school hours,  the average student spends almost half of their day sitting in hard and uncomfortable chairs. Not being seated correctly or having the proper support can create serious problems on a persons spine and can cause future health issues. CIS is partnered with Smith Systems and many other manufacturers that try to give students the proper equipment and support  to comfortably and safely get the proper education they need. Window Treatments In Schools

Window Shades block unwanted glare while maintaining a connection to the outside environment. Reducing the visible light transmitting into a room with a solar screen allows students to see electronic and blackboard presentation without glare and without darkening the room. Teachers can see the students and make sure they are engaged in class.

Solar window shades also add a layer of safety to a school. These shades use a type of reflective material which can be used to cover your windows, and allows you to see out, but stops others from seeing inside. This allows staff do view those who are outside the school while preventing others from looking in. Click here for more.

Cafeterias and Common Areas

Cafeterias and Common rooms are so important for students. They are a break from the books, or place to hit the books, and a place where students can meet up with friends and have some time to themselves. They are also a place for your school to represent themselves and be creative. Adding graphics to tables, chairs, counters, and whatever else you can get your logo on creates a school spirited environment that you and your students can be proud of. These areas are not only for student nutrition, but also for some down time, and they should be comfortable, fun, and school orientated. CIS can help you create that environment. Paperwork. It never ends. More files and documents then we know what to do with, but it's got to go somewhere, and sometimes with limited space it can be hard to figure where to put those mountains of boxes and folders of paperwork. With the right shelving units or file cabinets, organization and creating an efficient space can be easy. Then comes the question of security. This must be a priority too, since you are dealing with individuals confidential files. CIS works with numerous manufacturers that offer both quality and affordability options for your storage and shelving needs. Click here for more.

Education Signage

Signage

Which classroom is Sociology in? Where is the cafeteria? How do I get to the administration office ? What school is this?? All very good questions. All answered by one simple thing. A sign. Signs inform people of where they are, where they need to be, and how to get there. Some schools are so big and maze-like that it is easier to get lost there than it is to get lost in a foreign country. That is why proper signage can save the day. Ask us how we can help you and your school promote yourself better and inform people better. Click here for more.
